SALTA is clearly a complex system. This is why we use UC, a clear and efficient approach to implement it. UC is a development method that has been built and improved over the past 20 years in many companies by its author (David Faus). It was designed as an agile and user-friendly modeling method. When using UC, you no longer need project documentation based on "Word". It replaces all standard specification levels (FRS, SRS, SDD ...) and its many associated Word documents with a single entry point and a very comprehensive way of navigating the model.
We want to model SALTA because it is the best way to be functionally exhaustive and to offer a clear vision of the system that can be directly used by anyone to fully understand the main processes and concepts involved.
In addition, the modeling is particularly suited to system maintenance (of any size) thanks to simplified change management and workload estimation processes… Coupled with a knowledge management system, UC allows to retrieve the right information at the right time. This leads to a MAAK (Model As A Knowledge) approach for managing SALTA.
